Leeuwin Charity Build

Leeuwin Charity Build

Mr Scaffold had the privilege this month of helping the Ocean Adventure Foundation, providing a stair access scaffold up onto the deck of STS Leeuwin II. A charity we believe in, this organization run programs aiming to support and develop young Australians, helping to improve their life skills, build resilience and giving them the edge they need to launch into the work force.

While propped and on blocks at the Australian Marine Complex, STS Leeuwin II required access to deck level to carry out routine maintenance. This 7m stair access scaffold was erected by the team in WA to access the vessel. Buttress bays with rakers were required along with counter weights to secure and strengthen the structure whilst having little to no weight placed on the ship itself.

Some of our very own staff have participated in the experiences the Ocean Adventure Foundation provide when they were in high school, so we were very proud to have been able to lend a hand on this one. We are always open to helping an organization looking to make a difference and we look forward to our next project.
