Filling the Niche on a Building Feature

Scaffolding Job of the Month August 2009

Modern office buildings are becoming an architectural display piece like never before.  Even the simplest of building features can have an adverse affect if not well maintained.

Here Mr Scaffold builds a substantial tower within a feature niche in the front of a building to enable repairs.  The tower looks unremarkable, however each scaffold is a building albeit of a temporary nature.

In these situations, care needs to be taken that the scaffold does not contact the building it is servicing an any way that is not properly controlled.  Each scaffold is usually “Tied-In” to the adjacent building.  However with a glass covered building like this one, there are only a few points where that can be achieved, and the remainder of the scaffold must remain apart yet steadily braced.
