All-Round Facelift for a tired Facade
Aluminium Scaffolding was perfect for this type of job. Based in Marrickville – one of the inner west suburbs of Sydney, these tired apartments were in desperate need of a facelift.
On the corner of a busy intersection, these units were close to powerlines. You should be able to see that behind the green shadecloth, at the top of the scaffold, we have also used plywood to prevent electricity transferring from the power lines to the scaffold.
The yellow and black tiger tails were provided by Sydney Electricity as is required, however, scaffold is required to be protected when within 4m of power lines.
A Single Day to Complete – Ready for the renovation to begin
A 3-storey block of units to a maximum height of 11m, with a 22m length and 19m return, the total scaffolding coverage was around 440 square meters. With our lightweight, innovative and easy to use KWIKSCAF system, comprised totally from Aluminium, this scaffold was erected in 1 full day.
Granted the boys were going hard at it, but 6 guys got it up by the end of the day, plywooded and shadeclothed, signed off and ready for rendering the next day. Mr Scaffold has experienced and qualified scaffolders, so the Team Leader was able to provide the necessary scaffolding ticket as required by WorkCover.
